Training at the Radio Cardiff building offers a fantastic opportunity to learn important skills in the radio business in a practical environment. You'll gain precious experience of what it takes in the workplace whilst simaltaneously sharpening your skills in a high pressure working environment.
The Radio Cardiff building has a capacity of accommodating 20 volunteers and beneficiaries at any one time. Volunteers / beneficiaries choose to spend varying amounts of time at the station, some just use the facility as a drop in centre, mainly to utilise the internet or ICT infrastructure. Other Volunteers / beneficiaries spend up to 15 hours per week at the station, engaging in a wide variety of activities.
The broadcast provides a “real” work placement for trainees in a wide variety of skills including:
