I am Mark Sam and I do the Breakfast Show for Radio Cardiff on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I love doing the Breakfast Show as it is an opportunity to shine, show others your talents, play some great popular music and have loads of fun at the same time. The thing I love about the breakfast show the most is that you can start someone’s day, someone you have never met in a positive good vibe feel.
I have always been a fond lover of music and enjoy many music genres; from rock ‘n’ roll, reggae, rnb, grunge, dance, classical, jazz and many more. I have always said it matters not what music you listen to, but as long as you take time out in your life and let the music take you. I have been a radio presenter, disco, and karaoke DJ, I have edited for the beeb, and done many clubs and pubs over the years.
I joined Radio Cardiff three years ago, and had my first day show a few months after, on a Friday afternoon. In that time I had many guests from bands, celebrities including Chris Evans on the show, as well as many more. About 6 months ago I was given the opportunity to do the breakfast show, which I jumped at, as it is one of the most respected shows in radio, although getting up at 5.30 each morning can be challenging, knowing you are going to be live on air helping people start their day is what it is all about
